Completely maintenance and worry free, the Timber frame will not warp, rot mold or wick water. The Timber frame can be stained to match all Home Guard door stains for the pinnacle of beauty for your entranceway. Timber frame is an option on all Home Guard new construction doors.
Home Guard Professionally pre-finishes all entry systems. All painted finishes are durable, automotive quality and baked on for years of maintenance-free beauty. Ironwood doors offer the look and feel of real wood with a choice of seven hand applied stains and a deep wood gain look in true panel and rail design.
Polished Brass Ball-Bearing Hinges are Standard on all decorative doors and offer the ultimate in smooth operation. Ball-Bearing hinges are also available as an option on American Home Series doors.
A vast array of high quality, decorative hardware is available.
Each decorative glass panel is hand assembled by experienced craftsman. The custom patterns in art glass ensures that each glass panel is unique and is a work of fine art.
Home Guard's exclusive Alumi-Clad ® is a two-part system that covers the exterior portion of the wood jambs and replaces the wood exterior trim with an exact brick mold shape in heavy-walled, extruded aluminum. All fasteners are concealed for a clean, beautiful appearance. Alumi-Clad ® is available as an option on most Home Guard wood frames.
Home Guard's adjustable sill prevents water and air from infiltrating your home. Composite base and tread make this a maintenance free product (optional on American Home Series doors.)
Home Guard® entry doors* are Energy Star approved and meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the EPA and US Department of Energy. *Certain door styles do not qualify due to glass options.

		Home Guard's exclusive steel "L" Frame provides the measure of security in a replacement door application. Adding strength and security to your entrance, this crucial element is available on all Home guard replacement doors.
		Magnetic Weather-stripping utilizes refrigerator technology to provide a durable, tight seal to provide year round comfort and energy efficiency.
		All Home Guard doors feature steel edge construction and are fully insulated in environmentally friendly polyurethane foam and offer a superior R-factor of 15.1 for the ultimate in energy conservation. Home Guard doors have no wood in them which eliminates the opportunity for them to swell, split, twist, warp or rot lie other doors with wood rails and lock block.
		The door bottom weather-strip slides off and on for easy replacement and forms a weather-tight seal to the threshold. The result is a superior seal that keeps the inside in and the outside out.
		Home Guard's Full 4" X 10" composite lock block has more screw holding power than wood. Injection molded for uniform size, there is no distortion of the door skin typically found with wood lock blocks.
